I’ve known Sandra Davis since 1977. We met in college and she was a force to be reckoned with even then. I always knew she would accomplish great things and she has done just that.

We parted ways for over 30 years. I finally found her on Facebook in September 2012 and we caught up. Like me, she had moved through the ranks of several organizations and was CEO of Gehazi Collections. We talked about her designs and not long after I became a part of the amazing world of Gehazi Collections and one of its biggest fans and supporters.

My first experience was a custom design Sandra created for a holiday party I had in December 2012 as a door prize. The event was held at Mise en Place in Tampa, Florida. Sandra asked me about the feel of the affair and what it was that I was trying to capture. I told her "classic elegance" and the crimson and emerald necklace with drop earrings that she crafted were simply magnificent. Because the walls of the ballroom of the soiree were paneled in chocolate velvet fabric, Sandra placed the ensemble in a chocolate gift box and enclosed with jeweled elements from the set.

On February 4, 2014, Sandra was in Washington, DC for a convention and invited me to be her guest at a high-profile reception. Before I left, I gave her a copy of my first novel, The Chance of a Lifetime. It was so good to see her after so many years.

In November 2014, Sandra and I began discussing a small collection for men: bracelets, cufflinks, lapel pins and neckwear. Over time Sandra created Masculine Mood!Truly to watch it unfold was wonderful to experience. In my personal trove, I have three bracelets from Gehazi Collections, including one that has a matching necklace that comprises onyx, silver, black rutilated quartz and matte titanium quartz and the Black Lasso Bracelet. Also, I have a custom long lariat of black onyx and emerald beads and a set of Swarovski crystal cufflinks with a lapel pin.

While working on my second novel, Another Chance, the sequel to The Chance of a Lifetime, I included Sandra in Chapter 3 "Award Season" and Chapter 9 "Silver Spoon and Oscar Gold" where the female protagonist, Melanie Rockwell, commissions and wears some pieces from Gehazi Collections. Additionally, Sandra provided a blurb for the back cover of the book. From there we began to collaborate together to have my books in her Detroit shop or combining my books and her jewelry as giveaways, in silent auctions or as gifts.

For my 60th birthday one of the door prizes was a chunky green turquoise necklace that combined freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, faceted glass beads and glass pearls with subtle hues of pink and blue that Sandra had submitted to a silent auction for charity in Detroit. I won the extravagant statement piece.

I have worn Gehazi Collections to Broadway plays, concerts in DC to see Lisa Fischer, Vanessa Williams and Dave Chappelle and on date nights. The jewelry is comfortable to wear and each time I wear something from the collection I get so many compliments.

Lastly, the customer service at Gehazi Collections is simply the best. If I need something right away, Sandra goes the extra mile for me.

No one does it better.
